Q: WHAT VEHICLES CAN I DRIVE?

A: All of our vehicles can be driven on a full standard uk driving licence

 

Q: WHAT IF I HAVE POINTS ON MY LICENCE?

A: We can accept no more than 6 points depending on the driving offence

 

Q: HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO DRIVE YOUR VANS?

A: between the ages of 24 & 69

 

Q: WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

A: Full UK driving licence with matching  2nd proof of address upto 30 days old  i.e bank statement, utility Bill, wage slip ect and a printed DVLA Licence summary or check code

 

Q: HOW LONG DO I NEED TO HAVE HELD A LICENCE FOR?

A: Drivers must have held there licence for 2 years or more 

 

Q: CAN I HIRE A VAN FOR JUST A FEW HOURS?

A: We do offer half day (4.5 hours) Rental periods but only Monday to Thursday. We are just to busy ovver the weekends to offer this

 

Q: CAN I TAKE A VEHICLE ABROAD?

A: No, our vehicles can be hire for the UK only

 

Q: WHAT ARE YOUR HIRE TIMES?

A: Our Standard hire time is from 8am to 8am

 

Q: WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE HIRE COST?

A: All of our prices inc VAT, insurance and 200 mileage allowance per day. There after its just 15p per mile (only other additional cost will be for your fuel)

 

Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE THE VEHICLE?

A: Firstly don’t panic, give us a call to let us know what's happened and we will work together to resolve the situation, Depending on the damage then you may only lose the deposit

 

Q: WHAT DO I DO IF MY RENTAL VEHICLE BREAKS DOWN?

A: Firstly if this happens in office hours call us and we will take care of it for you with our break down team i.e recovery & replacement vehicle OR call the AA on the phone number displayed on a sticker in the windscreen and let us know using the out of hours contact number on your invoice and again we will help and assist to sort the matter our as fast as possible for you

 

Q: CAN I LEAVE THE VAN AT THE OFFICE WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED?

A: This depends on availability, you can return the van and park it in one of our bays and just post the keys as long as you are not blocking any other vehicles in.

(Please note the vehicle will remain in your care till we have checked it in when we re-open the following morning)

 

Q: WHAT VEHICLE IS BEST FOR A TIP RUN?

A: We recommend depending on the amount of rubbish you need to move a FORD TRANSIT CONNECT OR A FORD TRANSIT SWB, Both vehicle will fit under the barrier. You can take bigger vehicles but we have been advised by the locla tips that all of our vehicles need to be booked in advance so they know to open the barrier for you. (Please ask your local council if unsure)

 

Q: HOW CAN I PAY?

A: This can do done a few ways i.e

1.Debit or credit card for both transactions.

2. cash and card at least the hire or deposit, we can except a pre Authorised deposit on your card and pay cash for the hire or a cash deposit and the hire cost on a card.

 

Q: CAN SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE THE VEHICLE IF I CANNOT RETURN IT MY SELF?

A: Only the driver who signed the rental agreement can drive the vehicle unless you have called our office and added a 2nd driver on to your hire ( please note there is a extra cost of just £10 for this)

 

Q: WHAT SHALL I DO IF I AM GOING TO BE LATE RETURNING?

A: Call the office as soon as possible to let us know if not this could result in a late return fee

 

Q: CAN MORE THEN ONE PEARSON DRIVE THE VAN?

A: Yes, add them on at the time off booking or give us a call to add them on but we will need there details and documents emailed over to us so this can be done

 

Q: ARE YOU OPEN SUNDAYS?

A: Yes, we are open 8am to 10am

 

Q: CAN I LEAVE MY OWN VEHICLE ON SITE WHILE I HIRE A VAN?

A: : Yes dependant on availability, if we have space we are more the happy for you to leave your vehicle in our yard if you are happy to leave the keys in case it need to be moved.

 

Q: CAN I GUARANTREE A PARTICULAR MAKE AND MODLE OF A VEHICLE?

A: The vehicles illustrated within this website are for guidance only and may be substituted for a suitable alternative/upgrade. We will, however, try and accommodate any request for specific vehicles you ask for.

Small Print

  • £275 refundable deposit (payable by credit or debit card)
  • Insurance included
  • VAT included
  • Up to 200 miles per day is included in the hire price, 15p per mile if you go over
  • To keep things simple we just ask that you return the van with the same amount of fuel in as when you collected it
  • Please bring your licence, a utility bill and a valid Licence Check Code from the DVLA
  • Bookings that include a Friday, Saturday or Sunday require a £20 part payment to secure. Please call the office to make this payment once completing your booking.
